Yes, he will be there...
'The rain may be falling out side, but your smile makes it airight'- Mr. Joju Tharaken, one of the directors of Sakthan Thampuran College of Mathematics and Arts needs no other
words to complement but a single phrase- 'the smiling presence'. As he is then and there for every thing the students address him always as 'Our Joju Sir'. He is with Ajith Sir for years as a friend, a partner and a strong
supporter. No doubt he is such a strong personality that under his directorship also the college is flying on golden feathers.
Mr. Joju Tharaken is born in August 14, 1968 as the youngest son of Antony T.I and Celin, who was a teacher. His father was running an educational institution called Matha College, with many Govt approved courses which
was very rare in those days. Joju Sir always says that his father is the strongest influence in his life who taught him the noble qualities like punctuality, dedication etc. He always remembers those days when he went with
his father to open up the institution in the early hours of the day.
Mr. Joju had his early schooling in St Thomas U.P School, Koonamoochi and he had his High School education from St Sebastian's H.S Chittattukara, Thrissur District. He has begun his campus days in Sreekrishna College,
Guruvayur for Pre degree course and had his degree from St Thomas College Thrissur. It was in those days he came to contact with Ajith Sir, first as a student to get tuitions for mathematics and then his partner in forming
the institution, Sakthan Thampuran College of Mathematics and Arts. After completing his B Ed, he took his PGDCA from L.B.S. He had completed his MBA .
Mrs. Lillymol is Mr. Joju Tharakan's life partner who is working as the Principal of B.Ed College; Akkikkavu. She is the strong support for him in all realms. They are blessed with two sons, Abhinav Tharakan and Abel
Tharaken.
Honest heart produces honest actions - this can be applied to a person like Mr. Joju Tharaken confidently. As he is honest to the core, he does not believe in words but in deeds. He says life should not be promoted
in view like, '1 must live' but 'Let me too live'. So he dreams about a generation of fully developed with cultural and social awareness. Having an incredulous organizing capacity he takes it not as an option, but a fundamental
survival skill and a distinctive competitive advantage. He is not simply a director to the institution but a friend to all the staff and benefactors who listens to their demands and distress. He pays equal attention to
them and works on it without hesitation. Having such a concern for the poor and needed, he never leaves a chance to help them. Yes, when he is with us, we are reminded of this - 'Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. And just walk beside me.'
